Misogyny in Education

Across Scotland, there have been growing reports of misogynistic behaviour within education environments. The Scottish Women’s Convention (SWC) Team have regularly received accounts of abuse against women teachers and students, negatively impacting their work and school experience. This issue was highlighted during our Misogyny in Scotland report, which found discrimination to be a recurrent element of the education system. To understand this issue in more detail, the SWC are carrying out a conference at the Glasgow Grosvenor hotel on the 1st of February 2025 between 11am and 3pm.
